National Day of Remembrance

Through Cold War Patriots’ advocacy, the U.S. Senate designated October 30th as the first National Day of Remembrance for nuclear weapons program workers in 2009. This nationally-recognized day honors the thousands of men and women who have enhanced our nation’s security by working in nuclear weapons complexes from the Manhattan Project through the present day.

Cold War Patriots is proud to have created and supported a National Day of Remembrance since 2009, by hosting receptions across the country each year.

This year is the 8th annual Cold War Patriots’ National Day of Remembrance. Visit our events page to learn more about events near you.

Please continue to show your support for those who helped protect our nation through the development of our nuclear defense.
