- Profiles in Strength

To commemorate the National Day of Remembrance on October 30th of 2009, Cold War Patriots has begun a living history project that will document the unique stories and experiences of our members. Please consider participating in this effort by filling out a profile story. If you do not have a story to share, feel free to tell us about a friend or relative who was impacted by the Cold War or their work during that era.

We plan to hand select stories for inclusion in the CWP newsletter, on the CWP website, and in other capacities during the National Day of Remembrance events to be held this fall. By providing a story and/or a photograph, you release your likeness and story for use and grant permission for CWP to use it in the above capacities.

 

If possible, we will select some stories for the inclusion in a time capsule which will travel to sites around the country in late 2009 and through 2010. We anticipate the time capsule will be buried by the Department of Energy, and then excavated on July 14th, 2045, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the original Trinity Site nuclear weapons test.
