National Day of Remembrance

Remembering Heroes

On April 8th, 2014 U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn) introduced a resolution to designate October 30, 2014 as the sixth National Day of Remembrance.

This article talks about why it is so important to continue to honor and recognize these American heroes.

For the past five years, Congress has enacted a National Day of Remembrance on October 30th which honors  nuclear weapons workers and uranium miners who proudly served their country from the Manhattan Project through present day.

Cold War Patriots is proud to have created and supported a National Day of Remembrance since 2009.  We have done several projects to commemorate this day such as our time capsule, traveling quilt display and numerous celebrations each year across the country!

Please continue to show your support for those who helped protect our nation through the development of our nuclear defense.
