Cold War Patriots and the Museum of Moab would like to invite you and your family to a special event and exhibit honoring the contributions Utah uranium workers made to American’s national defense.
A “National Day of Remembrance” time capsule and living history project will be at the Museum of Moab on 118 E. Center Street in Moab from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, February 5th, 2010. A short program will be held at 5:00pm and refreshments provided. Admission to the museum and the program will be free during this special event.
The time capsule is criss-crossing the country in 2010, collecting stories and artifacts from the nation’s uranium mining and nuclear defense era. The time capsule, and a special short film created for the first National Day of Remembrance will be on display following the event until February 26th, 2010. We encourage you to attend and share your own memories at this event.
If you have questions about the exhibit, or want to arrange to make a contribution of your story or artifact to the time capsule, please contact Tim Lerew from Cold War Patriots toll-free at 1-866-449-1595
